This position is geared toward an individual ready to lead real estate market analysis and financial feasibility work, with room to grow into a Director role overseeing Camoin Associates’ real estate service line, including business development, marketing, and mentoring. Candidates already prepared to step into that Director role are also encouraged to apply.
Come be part of a firm that is working around the country to support clients as they navigate ever-changing economic conditions to improve the world in which people live, work, and play.

Role
Real estate market analysis and financial feasibility are core services at Camoin Associates. Our real estate team helps clients, including developers, municipalities, and economic development organizations, evaluate development opportunities across all use types, including residential, commercial, industrial, office, retail, and mixed-use projects.
We are hiring at two possible levels: Senior Real Estate Analyst or Director of Real Estate Services.
Where a candidate lands depends on experience. A Director takes on everything a Senior Real Estate Analyst does, plus ownership of the real estate service line’s growth, mentoring, and business development.
Senior Real Estate Analyst Responsibilities:
- Conducting real estate market analysis and financial feasibility studies across all use types, including residential, commercial, industrial, office, retail, and mixed-use.
- Knowing where and how to source real estate data for standard studies and building study structure independently.
- Writing analysis and results in client-ready form and contributing to internal project team discussions on findings.
- Leading client meetings to explain methodology and findings.
- Leading methodology and proposal approach on real estate engagements, including participating in project interviews to highlight the firm’s analytical capacity.
- Mentoring research analysts and reviewing their work for quality and accuracy.
- Contributing to marketing and business development, including proposal writing.
- Actively working toward becoming a firm leader in real estate, including developing methodologies and building a track record of thought leadership.
- Pitching in where needed. At a 25-person firm, everyone wears multiple hats, and we value flexibility over rigid job boundaries.
Director Responsibilities (in addition to the above):
- Owning the growth and quality of Camoin Associates’ real estate service line, including identifying new processes, approaches, and markets.
- Building and maintaining a proven specialization in real estate through project work, network building, event attendance, and thought leadership.
- Preparing and implementing a strategic marketing plan for the real estate service line, including website content, digital marketing campaigns, and tracking their performance.
- Vetting real estate proposal opportunities and completing or delegating them.
- Building and maintaining relationships with partner firms across markets.
- Reviewing real estate project pricing and budget performance.
- Establishing a structured professional development and mentoring program for the real estate team, including group and one-on-one mentoring.
- Coordinating with other service line directors on cross-selling and other strategic opportunities, and reporting on service line progress to firm leadership.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s degree in real estate, urban planning, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
- For the Senior Real Estate Analyst position: at least two years of analytical experience in real estate market analysis, economic development, or a closely related field.
- For the Director position: the qualifications above, plus a demonstrated track record of specialization in real estate, including business development and team leadership experience.
- Consulting experience is strongly preferred.
- A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines at once.
- Exceptional writing, communication (verbal and written), and time management skills are required.
- The ability and willingness to travel to client communities within the US. (Travel is project-dependent and can be up to once a month for two to three nights at a time.)
- Note: Title and level (Senior Real Estate Analyst or Director) will be determined based on experience. We are looking for the right fit and will adjust the title and compensation to match.
Additional Skills Desired
- Experience with financial modeling and development pro formas.
- Business development experience, including proposal writing and client relationship management.
- Familiarity with real estate research tools and data sources, such as CoStar and ESRI.
- Meeting facilitation and presentation skills (virtually and in-person).
- Demonstrable attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A good communicator, strong collaborator, and team player.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment while staying closely connected to project teams.
- An eye for design. Experience with Adobe InDesign, Canva, or similar tools to help polish client deliverables is a plus.
- Use of AI tools and a desire to understand how they can improve our work. We are actively building this capacity at the firm and want people who are interested in experimenting alongside us.
Camoin Associates provides all equipment (PC, dual monitors, camera, and optional headset for video conferencing).
Please note that we are only making this position available to US citizens and residents with all necessary authorizations already in place (OPT does not qualify).
Salary and Benefits
Compensation for this position is expected to range from $80,000 to $150,000, depending on experience, education level, and whether the role is filled at the Senior Real Estate Analyst or Director level.
Camoin Associates also offers paid time off, a paid week off at the end of the year, paid holidays, retirement contributions, health insurance, and the flexibility of 100% remote work.
