On July 26, 2023, Camoin Associates Senior Vice President Jim Damicis participated in a panel discussion at the second annual BIO-SENS Industry-Academic Biotechnology Symposium titled “Biotechnology Ecosystem: Insights and Opportunities for Economic Development.”
Using case experiences and analysis from recent Camoin Associates projects, Jim spoke about what it takes for targeted industry-based economic development in Life Sciences to succeed. He provided trends and insights from the “Life Sciences Industry Assessment and Strategy” that Camoin Associates recently completed for the State of New Hampshire, and built upon the themes of an article he and his Camoin Associates colleague Alexandra Tranmer recently wrote called “How to Take Advantage of the Growth Opportunities in Life Sciences,” which appeared in the May/June 2023 edition of Expansion Solutions Magazine.

BIO-SENS (Biologically Inspired On-Demand Strategies for Engineering Nanostructured Sensors) is a National Science Foundation-funded project dedicated to engineering new biosensing technology for biomanufacturing processes and helping to grow and train the biomanufacturing workforce.
